Andy

There was once was a young man called Shirley

Who grew up to be big and burly

His 'Big Daddy' splash

Earnt him plenty of cash

But often finished his bouts very early

There was Haystacks, King Kong and John Quinn

On the opposite side of the ring

But whoever the fighter

Daddys partner was lighter

His team always managed to win

But Daddy was the smartest of all

And put bums on seats in the hall

The kids all adored him

And no one could floor him

So he never went down for a fall

In top hat and gown, he appeared

Easy, Easy, the crowd would have cheered

The Seekers would play

As the man made his way

To the ring, where to lose would be weird

But the formula worked for a while

And to remember it does bring a smile

Cos at 24 stone

 Daddy wasn't alone

The fans loved him - he did it with style!!!!

My Way

My Way

And now the end is here

And they’ve all faced the final curtain

My friends, it’s with a tear

But that’s a fact, of which I’m certain

They lived a life so full

They travelled roads, both small and mighty

But more, much more than this, they did it nightly

Feuds, there were a few

For Marty Jones, there was a cycle

But Marty did what he had to do, to ensure he kept his titles

He saw off Rocco, Dave Finlay too and Skull Murphy all tried to hold them

But Jones could beat them all, the champ from Oldham

Yes there were times when Stax would fall

But they were rare cos he was tall

But if you ever were in doubt, he’d come right back

And knock you out

He sure stood tall and faced them all, he did it Stax way

We loved Steve Grey, Jim Breaks and Sid

They were so good, even when losing

Just think of good old Les, we all remember so amusing

To think, they did all that

All year long, from January to December

A time no longer here but we remember

For what was Kendo, what did he have?

Gorgeous George, the gift of the gab

To say the things to rile the crowd, don’t touch the mask- it’s not allowed

The records show they took the blows and did it their way.

BLESS THEM ALL!!!!
